10th International Conference on High Nitrogen steels, HNS 2009

High Nitrogen Steel (HNS) is an international regular conference focused on the exchange of latest scientific and technological progress on High Nitrogen Steels. Nitrogen is a unique element as it imparts to steels new properties, which can not be obtained by the use of other alloying elements. Nitrogen alloying brings the problems which are important particularly for HNS.

      

The international conference on HNS have been successfully held in France, Germany, Ukraine, Japan, Finland and Sweden, India, Switzerland, Belgium, China and national conference with international participation was held in  Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Poland since 1988. In accordance with the decision of the International Scientific Committee for High Nitrogen Steels in 2006 (China) the next conference HNS 2009 will be held in Moscow.
